Disney set a record for the number of movies reaching a billion in the year

On August 15, "Toy Story 4" grossed $ 1 billion, making Disney the first company to have five movies to hit the landmark this year.

The blockbuster on toys is personified to collect $ 1 billion after two months of premiere. The work directed by Josh Cooley received 97% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes , following the journey of cowboy Woody (voice actor Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen). 

Toy Story 4  is Disney's fifth film to hit $ 1 billion this year, after Captain Marvel , Avengers: Endgame , Aladdin and The Lion King (in the order of release). Disney broke their own record in 2016 with four films to hit this point ( Captain America: Civil War , Rogue One: A Star Wars Story , Finding Dory and Zootopia ).

Variety  said Disney could continue to break the record this year with Frozen 2 , Maleficent 2 and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker  coming soon. The three movies are all part of the box office work.    

Disney made up half of the top 10 best-selling movies since the beginning of the year. However, they also have difficulties due to some "spray bombs" of Fox (produced before Disney acquired). In early August, Bob Iger - president of The Walt Disney Company - said the company lost $ 170 million in the second quarter, of which X-Men: Dark Phoenix was the biggest failure.
